So you know, they know, we all know that foie gras has been all but banned in the lovely state of California. While California has long been known for being liberal, we've now become inundated with people telling us what (not) to eat. With Washington DC overrun with politicians legislating the vagina, it is the straw that broke the camel's back for me to have a bunch of uneducated (educate yourself
HERE) zealots telling me what I can eat. To the protesters, I say a healthy 'Fuck YOU', I will continue to procure my foie gras and probably post video of me and my friends eating it one savory mouthful at a time. To think they are picking on the 1% of people who are eating this stuff. What a joke. A more productive way to spend their time would be to go after all the horrible commercial farms. But they can't win that fight. And why on earth would a bunch of hippies fight a losing battle, right?
July 1st makes it a lot harder to get foie gras in California, but not impossible. The law itself has a lot of loopholes. For instance, I can buy it in another state and bring it home. I can have friends mail it to me. I can make it and have friends over. Restaurants can serve it for free. HA!! You're not stopping us, you're just making it slightly more difficult. This nanny state of government we currently are living with has got to stop. But that's an argument for another day. In the meantime, here are some photos of the foie gras I've had over the last few years:
